Director & Head Agricultural/ Plant Technician
Lewis Witcomb
After leaving school, Lewis began his career at R C Setchfield (Agriculture) Ltd, working alongside his studies to earn a Level 3 Extended Diploma in Land-Based Engineering from Reaseheath College. He then spent three years with RES Tractors, a New Holland dealership, where he further honed his skills and gained valuable experience.
With his expertise growing, Lewis felt ready to launch his own venture—L Witcomb Agriculture. Since starting the business, his knowledge has expanded even further, making him highly skilled in diagnosing and repairing all types of agricultural machinery. He is also fully qualified to conduct LOLER inspections, servicing, and maintenance.
Lewis is available to travel to your location for diagnostics, servicing, and repairs, always preferring to get your machinery up and running on site if possible!
“Over the past four years, our business has grown significantly, both in skill set and customer base. Our team has expanded, enabling us to provide even higher-quality service. We’re proud of the progress we’ve made and excited for continued growth and success in the future!” - Lewis James Witcomb

Agricultural/ Plant Technician
Carl Goodson
Carl recently joined our team after eight years with R C Setchfield (Agriculture) Ltd, bringing extensive experience in agricultural engineering and deep knowledge of various machinery—particularly JCB, Renault, and Sanderson products. His expertise in JCB machinery, developed over his years at R C Setchfield, is a standout skill, giving him the ability to handle everything from routine maintenance to complex repairs.
Before his time at R C Setchfield, Carl worked in a factory building and rebuilding engines, which provided a solid foundation in diagnostics and repairs for all types of agricultural and plant machinery. Although his expertise with JCBs is exceptional, Carl’s skill set extends well beyond them.
He has also had the pleasure of working alongside Lewis during Lewis’s apprenticeship and early JCB career at R C Setchfield, which allowed them to build a strong working relationship and develop a great team bond.
We’re thrilled to welcome Carl to our family-run business, where he can continue to share his expertise and contribute his skills to the industry we’re passionate about!

Agricultural/ Plant Technician
Warren Baxter
Warren has joined us after spending just under 27 years as Head Technician for RC Setchfield (Agriculture) Ltd. He has extensive knowledge of various agricultural machinery, particularly JCB, Renault, and Sanderson products, which have developed over his time with them.
He is well known in the industry for his diagnostic skills and comprehensive understanding of electronic wiring, particularly with JCB Loadall and Fastrac machines, in addition to being fully qualified to undertake Loler inspections, servicing, maintenance and repairs to a variety of equipment but particularly the JCB brand.
His experience and proven track record made him particularly in demand following the retirement of Mr Setchfield, and we are delighted that he has finally agreed to join our family run business, to share his experience and continue to provide his services within the industry!
Warren is also a skilled fabricator; he has the ability to think around any problem to provide you with various options before agreeing to the best course of action or repair to suit your needs. He always offers first-hand experience and best practice information, ensuring a comprehensive range of testing is always undertaken to hopefully ensure a first fix outcome.
He has also had the pleasure of working with Lewis, during his own apprenticeship and early JCB career, and with Carl, for the last 8 years, at RC Setchfields, allowing them to develop a great working relationship and strong team bond.
